Rule #4 - Never, ever go hunting with Bobby Knight
There are certain rules one should follow when dealing with the fiery Bobby Knight…
First, don’t get Bobby angry. Like David Bannon once said “Don’t make me angry…you wouldn’t like me when I’m angry”.
Second, don’t ask Bobby stupid questions during a press conference. The definition of stupid question being “any question that Bobby feels is unreasonable, unwarranted or irresponsible. These same questions are viewed by normal thinking individuals as legitimate, warranted and informative.
Third, if you do get Bobby angry, make sure that all chairs (high, kitchen, desk, deck, lounge and electric) are immediately removed. He just might whistle a chair over your head (or at the least, he’d whip a chair in front of you).
And, now, a new rule has emerged - never, ever go hunting with Bobby Knight. Especially if you’ve made him angry (see Rule #1).
Two separate individuals have come forward in the past few days alleging that Knight (or his hunting companion) shot them with birdshot. Neither individual required medical attention after the alleged incidents.
Should anything surprise us with Bobby Knight anymore? Head-butting players, choking players, slapping players, yelling profanities, and now shooting innocent bystanders.
Isn’t it only a matter of time before Knight runs somebody over with his car? I mean, he’s gone from throwing chairs to physically abusing players to now using a deadly weapon (allegedly) against somebody. The next logical step would be to increase the size of the deadly weapon, would it not?
Beware, all you journalists and reporters out there. Take heed, all you referees and timekeepers. Bobby Knight has a gun, and apparently he knows how to use it.
