Injury updates: 10/22
With the regular season fast approaching, many teams are having to deal with injuries to some of their key players.
Here are some of the latest players who have been bitten by the injury bug.
Arkansas freshman guard Nate Rakestraw will be out of action for up to 8 weeks after breaking the pinkie on his shooting hand.
Wisconsin senior guard Michael Flowers was granted a temporary leave of absence from the Badgers to deal with an undisclosed medical condition. It is unknown if and when Flowers will return to the team.
Nevada forward Richie Phillips will be out up to 6 weeks after suffering a stress fracture in his lower left leg. This is yet another injury for Phillips, who had off-season surgery on his right leg before last season and then sat out a good part of January and February with a torn tendon in his finger.
