Elite 8 - Day 2 notes
We’re now down to the Final Four. Here are my thoughts from today’s games:
- As somebody who has been skeptical of Memphis all season long, that may have changed tonight. Texas is an excellent basketball team, and for the Tigers to take them to the woodshed like they did speaks volumes. Memphis is one of, if not the most athletic team in the country, and extremely athletic teams are always difficult to prepare for. If Memphis continues to play this well, they could very well win the whole tournament.
- Davidson is a very good basketball team, and I’m sorry to see them out of the tournament. Kansas did a great job at keeping Stephen Curry from getting into a shooting groove (9 for 25 from the field) and did just enough to win the game.
- Kansas managed to win the game despite Brandon Rush going 4-14 from the field. If Kansas wants to win it all, Rush needs to play better. Period.
